Just Been Sniffin' Around

Well...it's been a while since my last post and I do apologise for the absence. Life has gone to the dogs, it seems. Snoopy is now going on 7 years old and Lilah just turned 2! Wow, time sure does, fly! Over the past year we've ventured a few camping trips to the beaches and mountains of the beautiful Eastern United States and the pooches are thrilled to tag along. Snoopy is a pro at traveling and just hangs out on the console during the ride. Lilah stuggles with car sickness, and vomits 15 minutes into the car ride. The highest count was 12 vomits in a 4 hour trip, yuck!
Somehow I have managed to keep my cookies down, while cleaning her up! We've tried manys things including Dramamine(our vet recommended) to no avail. Needless to say, we go through tons of towels. If anyone has any suggestions for her, please share! Enjoy your Spring and take time to sniff the flowers!

Billy Goats Ruff

Lilah, the Jack Russell comes from a long line of good breeding that includes ancient mountain billy goats. Not really, but at times her manners resemble that of a billy goat as she chews any foreign object she can get her little furry jaws on! The other day I found one of my favorits tubes of lipstick narled down to an empty metal scrap. Her next bowl movement is sure to be a beautiful shade of pink frost. I know that was too much information but hey...welcome to my world. I am constantly pulling things out of her mouth: paper, plastic, pencils, the kids stuffed animals, dead birds (the cat left in the flower bed). She keeps me on my toes and keeps me laughing. Love that little midget billy goat...ruff!

Bad Gas....

Okay, does anyone else have a dog with bad gas issues? The family has been suffering with Snoopy and his silent and deadly bombs. I mainly notice he has gas in the evenings, we all run for cover or fan the fog away from our delicate senses. It's become quite comical.

Great Watch Dogs

Snoopy and Lilah are great watch dogs. They never fail to bark when someone approaches the house. All though they are pretty harmless, they sure sound threatening. Even their hair on their backs stand on end. That's a good boy and good girl! Keepin' the pack safe!

Doggy Touretts

Well, Lilah is now 10 months old and has random barks for reasons unknown. My family thinks it's pretty funny and we call it her Doggy Tourett Syndrome, which I don't think really exists as a dog disorder. We can be asleep in the middle of the night and she'll let out a couple barks and then silence? I wonder if she is hearing or seeing things beyond human senses? Poor Snoopy, he just looks at her like she's crazy and the rest of us are telling her to be quiet!

Dog Training...

Well, it appears I need to do a bit more work with Lilah as she jumps up on all of our guests.  She goes right to the face and proceeds to give kisses.  This is just one of her behaviors that needs addressing.  I found an interesting  ebook that is worth looking in to.  If you or someone you know are having doggy issues you may want to check it out too..
